Trans Lifeline

Trans Lifeline is a grassroots hotline and non-profit organization offering direct emotional and financial support to trans people in crisis – for the trans community, by the trans community.

WEAVE inc.

WEAVE is the primary provider of crisis intervention services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Sacramento County.  Through a multi-disciplinary effort with Sacramento County, law enforcement, the Commercially Sexually Exploited Children Court, Child Protective Services, and the District Attorney’s Office, WEAVE also provides 24/7 response, outreach and services for victims of sex trafficking.


Gender Health Center

The Gender Health Center offers low to no cost therapy through their student intern counseling program. Trans-centered healthcare services include a hormone clinic, needle exchange program, PrEP prescriptions and HIV/STD healthcare, and harm reduction services. Student intern advocacy program provides Trans people with legal name + gender change assistance, primary medical care provider guidance and many more odds and ends. 

The LGBT Community Center

The Sacramento LGBT Community Center works to create a region where LGBTQ+ people thrive. They support the health and wellness of the most marginalized, advocate for equality and justice, and work to build a culturally rich LGBTQ+ community.

Lavender Library

The Lavender Library is a lending library and archive housing lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex (LGBTQI) books and magazines, various media, and archival materials.


Wind Youth Services

Wind Youth Services provides supportive services and opportunities to youth experiencing homelessness as they pursue self-determined lives of stability and independence.


Affordable Colleges Online (LGBTQ+ College Student Resource Center)

According to Mental Health America, LGBT youth are almost twice as likely to experience bullying and harassment. This treatment can impede a student’s ability to focus and learn and often has detrimental impacts on their mental health and physical safety.

LGBTQ+ students commonly face additional pressures and concerns when navigating college life. Selecting a safe and inclusive school can significantly improve their college experience. Trans Families Sacramento

Trans Families Sacramento is a support group for transgender people, their parents, partners, children, other family members, friends, and supportive others. They provide referrals, literature, and over-the-phone information on all transgender issues.

Sacramento Area Rainbow Kids

A group of families who gather together for support, education, and community to help raise transgender, gender variant, gender non-conforming or gender questioning children (4-18 years old) in a supportive and loving manner.

River City Gems

The River City Gems are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to improve the lives of transgender individuals and their families by providing social opportunities, peer support, education, resources, outreach programs, and other services focused on the specific needs of the male-to-female transgender community.
